Q: Why am I not peeling?
A: If a series is recommended, the VI Peel is safe to get every 4-6 weeks as directed by your practitioner. Your practitioner will be able to create your own unique skincare plan.
Q: How long does the peeling last?
A: Peeling generally starts on the 3rd day and ends on the 7th but everyone’s skin is different. Generally for the body, peeling doesn’t start until the 7th day and last 4-7 days.
Q: What is the difference between VI Peels and other chemical peels?
A: Unlike other chemical peels on the market, the VI Peels are virtually painless, require little downtime and are safe for all skin types and tones.
Q: What is the difference between VI Peel and VI PURIFY?
A:The VI Peel PURIFY was specifically formulated to address acne prone skin. It contains additional ingredients such as BPO and Hydrocortizone, specifically targeting acne blemishes.
Q: Will the VI Peel lighten my skin if I am African American?
A: The VI Peel will not lighten or darken any skin tone, it is meant to even out your natural skin tone and give you a bright and refreshed look. Find out from a medical practitioner if the VI Peels are appropriate for you specifically.
Q: Will my skin turn orange after a VI Peel procedure?
A: No but you may experience some redness from the rubbing during the application but this will usually subside after the first day. If you have very fair skin, you may experience a slight tint but again, this will wash off easily the first night after your peel. Consult with your practitioner if you have any concerns.
Q: When can I start exercising after treatment?
A: We recommend waiting at least 72 hours after getting a peel. Excessive sweating can interrupt the efficacy of the peeling process and cause irritation.
Q: What activities should I avoid after a VI Peel?
A: Anything that would cause your skin to overheat (i.e. exercise, saunas, being out in the sun).
Q: What age is recommended for a VI Peel?
A:There’s no limit but please consult with your practitioner for the best course of action before receiving any peels
Q: Can pregnant or lactating women receive a VI Peel®?
A: No VI Peels should not be administered to pregnant or lactating women.
